Alerts point your team to mentions that need a decision.
What raises an alert
| Alert | Typical severity |
|---|---|
| Critical mention | Critical |
| Negative mention | Medium, or High when three or more arrive within 24 hours |
| Repeated theme (three or more within 72 hours) | High |
| Sentiment deterioration | High |
| Volume spike | Medium or High |
| Opportunity | Low or Medium |
Mentions from a monitor's first (history) scan never raise alerts. After an alert is closed, a similar alert will not reopen for a few hours unless something more severe appears.
How to triage an alert
- Open Reputation → Alerts. The default view shows Active alerts. You can also filter by Open, Acknowledged, Resolved, Dismissed or All, and by client.
- Select Show evidence to read the mentions behind the alert.
- Choose what to do:
- Acknowledge: someone is looking at it.
- Resolve: it has been handled.
- Dismiss: it was irrelevant.
- Reopen: bring a resolved or dismissed alert back.
- Create Action: add a recommended follow-up to Actions & Approvals, so the whole agency can see that this alert needs work.
- Draft Response: choose a format (Customer reply, Social response, Clarification statement, Internal briefing, Public FAQ or Follow-up post), then select Draft Response.
What happens next
- Create Action adds the Action and the alert shows an Action created link.
- Draft Response shows "Draft created in Content for review — nothing is published" and a Draft in Content link. The draft follows the normal content review and approval process.
GrowthPilot never replies publicly on its own. Any reply is posted by a person, outside GrowthPilot or through your approved publishing process.
