The site audit is a technical crawl of the client's website. Every finding comes from a deterministic rule, so two audits of the same pages give the same result.
Before you start
The client needs a website in its setup. To change findings you need an analyst, marketer, admin or owner role.
How to do it
- Select the client.
- Open the Agent dock and choose Run an SEO audit, or ask the Agent to analyse the website.
- Follow the run under Running. The crawl reads the site's HTML pages and records findings per page.
- Open the client's SEO tab and read Page findings by severity.
The Audit findings panel above it is the Growth Audit: deterministic checks on the client's saved evidence, re-run with Re-run audit. Page findings come from the crawl.
Reading the findings
- Severity runs from Critical to Info. Use Which findings to show to filter.
- Each finding names the Deterministic rule behind it, the pages affected and a suggested fix. See the crawl record shows when the pages were crawled.
- Findings cover indexability (robots, noindex, canonical, sitemap), metadata (titles and descriptions), links, content (thin pages, image alt text), security (https, mixed content), technical (viewport, language, redirects) and performance (document size, server response).
- When your team has fixed something, mark the finding fixed. It shows Marked fixed · awaiting crawl until the next audit verifies it.
What the audit does not measure
- Pages are read as HTML only; JavaScript is not executed.
- Core Web Vitals are not measured. The audit records the server's response time for the HTML document and labels it as such.
- The informational technical score is GrowthPilot's own, based on the findings; it is not a third-party score.
